Description
1. Entrees – the entremetier prepares the entrees or starters in the kitchen. 2. Mains – main courses can be divided further into fish, roast, grill, fry, and vegetable chefs, depending on the size of the kitchen and complexity of the menu. 3. Desserts – the pâtissier deals with the baked good and desserts in the kitchen. 4. Coordinates daily tasks with the Sous Chef. 5. Responsible to supervise junior chefs or commis. 6. Able to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. 7. Manage inventory, including ordering and rotation. 8. Control costs and minimize waste. 9. Adherence to Standards 10. Ensure compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. 11. Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness. 12. Communicate effectively with kitchen and other staff. 13. Collaborate with other departments for smooth operations.
